Mia and Dozer were two Pit Bull Mixes both born in 2012. They were both dearly loved for SO many years until life changes forced their owner to seek alternative housing... Unfortunately, there aren't many options for two senior dogs who are sorely under socialized! After searching most of the state, both dogs were taken in by UST. Mia & Dozer hadn't been off their property for the last ten years. Needless to say, they were a bit shell-shocked. With lots of patience and hard work, we were able to get them to trust the staff and volunteers here.

After a few months, both dogs developed some age-related health issues. In an effort to prevent any emotional distress for either dog, we opted to lay them to rest together. After spending their entire life together, Mia and Dozer will spend eternity side-by-side as well.
